The spring edition of the FREI ART FESTIVAL brings outstanding international choreographers, a top-class performance program, workshops, and networking events for the German and international dance scene to Freiburg. In cooperation with the German Professional Association for Dance Education, a specially designed seminar series will take place, aimed at dance educators and dance professionals. In addition to an open stage for artists of all genres and a showcase of current residencies, the festival offers a space for encounters and exchange.

On the occasion of the FREI ART FESTIVAL, the Junior Ballet North Rhine-Westphalia of the Theater Dortmund presents choreographies by Alexander Ekman, Marco Goecke and Edward Clug.

The NRW Junior Ballet is among the elite of young dancers in Germany and has the opportunity to work with the best choreographers.

In cooperation with the German Professional Association for Dance Education, two dance seminars on the topic of creativity will take place.
