15.09. - 19.09.2025

12:00 - 14:45Uhr

Open-Level

This intensive offers dancers the opportunity to delve deeply into the movement language of Kalli – an artist who not only masters waving technically, but also understands it as an artistic and philosophical practice.

Over five days, not only the fundamentals and technique of waving will be taught, but also paths will be opened to expand one's own expression and find individual movement beyond stylistic boundaries. Kalli shares her many years of experience as an international performer, juror, and teacher in a structured yet open learning space that invites experimentation and rethinking.

Participants are encouraged to question movement patterns, design transitions more consciously, and understand the body as a tool for creative thinking. The focus is less on perfect execution and more on the search for a personal flow – on stage and in everyday life.

This intensive is aimed at anyone who wants to deepen their movement vocabulary, strengthen their creativity, and embark on a journey of artistic exploration.

Kalliopi Tarasidou, known as Kalli, is a dancer and choreographer based in Thessaloniki, Greece, who specializes in waving dance. Her innovative style combines waving with elements of tutting, contemporary dance, acrobatics, and street styles such as popping and hip-hop, which has earned her recognition in the international dance scene. Kalli began her professional career in 2013 with the renowned dance group Flying Steps and toured Europe for five years with the show "Red Bull Flying Illusion." During this time, she collaborated with B-Boy Junior on the captivating duet "Addiction," which garnered significant worldwide attention. Since 2021, she has worked with the esteemed Wang Ramirez dance company on the production "Youme," choreographed by Honji Wang.

In addition to her performances, Kalli has judged numerous international events and led workshops worldwide to promote the art of waving and inspire dancers to unleash their creativity. Today, she encompasses a broader spectrum of movement styles and considers herself an artist whose philosophy is to incorporate waving into all her work. Her goal is to inspire others to think outside the box in art and life.
