Intermediate/Advanced

The Alleyne Dance Intensive Workshop is a dynamic, powerful, and emotionally enriching experience. It allows participants to immerse themselves in strong, complex, and technically demanding sequences, combined with improvisation to enhance their performance, stamina, and musicality.

The course explores the company's repertoire through a physically demanding program with complex and technical vocabulary, and deepens this understanding in creative sessions. Participants will hone their performance skills and stamina and develop their creative expression. They will delve into the art of conscious and authentic movement, exploring how emotions can influence the material and serve as a catalyst.

This course is designed for participants who want to discover and further develop their personal movement style, for example, to improve for auditions and creative processes. It is also suitable for choreographers who want to explore their creative methods and teachers seeking inspiration for developing new material.

Sadé Alleyne trained as an athlete in Enfield and Haringey. Her first dance experience was with the hip-hop company Boy Blue Entertainment and Dance2Xess. Sadé studied dance at the BRITS School (London, 2004) and the Northern School of Contemporary Dance (Leeds, 2008). Since graduating, Sadé has danced with Tavaziva Dance, IJAD Dance, and Vocab Dance Company, each touring in England and internationally.

Sadé has worked as a performer and rehearsal director for the companies Ace Dance and Music (Birmingham) and State of Emergency (London). Sadé has collaborated with choreographers Vincent Mantsoe, Luyanda Sidiya, Andlie Sotyia, Douglas Thorpe, Akiko Kitamura, and Gregory Vuyani Maqoma.

She joined the Akram Khan Company in 2012 during the Vertical Road tour and performed with the company in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games and in the 2013 production of iTMOi (In the Mind of Igor). She toured with the revived production of Kaash from 2014 to 2016. Sadé also leads numerous workshops internationally as part of A.K.C.T. and is a dancer in Antoine Marc's award-winning independent film Descent and the 2015 production EssE.
