Global Movement Bundle: Four Artists, Four Cultures

Monday 07 - Friday 10 September 2026

10:00 - 12:30

at Studio Pro Arte

Liquid Mechanics with Sophia Barr

Workshop with Olé Khamchanla

Lao Traditional & Contemporary Dance with Noutnapha Soydala

Workshop with Ahlam El Morsli

This ticket gives you access to four distinct workshops, each led by an international artist bringing their own movement language, cultural background, and choreographic approach to the floor — from contemporary technique to Lao traditional dance to hybrid urban forms. It's a rare chance to train across a wide spectrum of styles in one pass, discovering how different traditions and practices speak to and inform one another.

Liquid Mechanics with Sophia Barr

Freelance dance artist Sophia Barr, based in Freiburg and trained at Chapman University, leads a workshop rooted in a dynamic, injury-prevention-focused warmup and contemporary movement practice. Drawing on Release technique, Countertechnique, improvisation, and floor work, the session builds efficient, safe, and mindful ways of moving through space — best suited to advanced movers seeking a healthy, present dancing body.

Workshop with Olé Khamchanla

Laos-born, France-raised choreographer Olé Khamchanla shares his singular hybrid vocabulary, forged from hip-hop, contemporary dance, and traditional Lao and Thai dance. Founder of the company KHAM, he has spent over a decade building international cooperation across Southeast Asia and Europe. His workshop crosses these techniques to arrive at a hybrid, organically contemporary movement language.

Lao Traditional & Contemporary Dance with Noutnapha Soydala

Nout, co-founder of Fanglao Dance Company, bridges heritage and modern expression in a two-part workshop — beginning with the foundational hand gestures, posture, and storytelling of Lao traditional dance, then shifting into a creative lab where those movements become material for contemporary improvisation and co-created choreography.

Workshop with Ahlam El Morsli

Moroccan choreographer and founder of the company Col'jam, Ahlam El Morsli brings a contemporary practice shaped by folkloric training, international collaboration, and an ongoing dialogue between body and technology. Her workshop focuses on movement quality, presence, and personal expression.

Why Book the Bundle

Together, these four workshops offer an unusually broad journey through contemporary practice, hybrid urban-traditional fusion, and Lao heritage dance — four distinct artistic voices, four cultural perspectives, and four ways of working with the body, all in one pass. Booking the bundle grants access to all four sessions at a fair, combined price, making it the most cost-effective way to train with all four artists.
