About the Performance

"City of Future" is a dance performance born from a cross-cultural cooperation between artists from Laos, Morocco, and Germany — three distinct dance traditions and histories brought into dialogue on a single stage. The piece blends movement traditions from these cultures with contemporary choreography, weaving together different vocabularies of the body into a shared language.

Rather than presenting the traditions side by side, the performance searches for the points where they meet, echo, and transform one another — asking what emerges when artists from different backgrounds imagine a future together rather than apart. Through movement, the piece explores themes of encounter, exchange, and coexistence, offering a vision of a "city" not bound by geography, but built from shared imagination and collaboration across cultures.
